Sultana

Sultanas are a variety of sundried grape, used in cooking especially in Australia and Great Britain. They are smaller than raisins and larger than currants, and they can be eaten as-is or used in baking. For some recipes, they are soaked in a liquid (fruit juice, alcohol, or water), making them plump, tender and juicy.

The term Sultana is also used as the title of the chief wife of a Sultan.
