Riviera

The Riviera is the coast shared between France and Italy, on the Tyrrhenian sea.

Italian Riviera (Riviera dei Fiori)

The Italian Riviera is the coast both on the West and the East of Genoa (Liguria, Italy), extending from France to Tuscany. In Italian, really, the term Riviera includes the Riviera di Levante, from Genoa toward Tuscany, and the Riviera di Ponente, from Genoa to France. It ends at Ventimiglia[?] (customs post for traffic with France).

It is famous for its particularly mild climate, which rendered it a well-known and frequented tourist destination even in winter time.

Many villages and towns are internationally known such as Portofino[?], Bordighera[?], Lerici[?], Ventimiglia[?], Rimini.

A part of the Riviera di Ponente, centered in Sanremo[?], is called Riviera dei Fiori, due to the characteristic production of flowers.
