The Right Honourable : Right Honourable

The Right Honourable (abbreviated "The Rt. Hon.") is an honorific prefix for senior politicians in some Commonwealth Realms. In Britain, the title is held to every member of the Privy Council. In the Republic of Ireland, though the Irish Privy Council was effectively abolished in 1922, the Lord Mayor of Dublin still uses the honorific.

Politicians entitled to the honour include:

• The Prime Minister
• The Leader of the Opposition
• The Governor General
• The State Governor[?]
• The head of the Supreme Court
• Lords Mayor[?]
