Polish Corridor

The Polish Corridor was a stretch of land, which divided post-World War I Germany into two parts (East Prussia and Germany proper), returning parts of the old Polish province Royal Prussia to Poland, after 150 years of Partition. This was one of the results of the Treaty of Versailles.

In 1939, Hitler demanded free, ex-territorial passage of German trains and troops to East Prussia and back. The Polish government refused.
