Lavender (
Lavandula spp.) is a woody
perennial herb. The fragrant, pale purple flower buds are used in
cooking and in
potpourri[?]. Dried and sealed in pouches, they are placed among stored items of clothing to give a fresh frangrance and as a deterrent to
moths.
