Iggy Pop

Iggy Pop (born April 21, 1947), aka Iggy Stooge, was born James Jewel Osterberg. He was the lead singer of The Stooges from 1969 to 1974, after which he embarked on a solo career, and released two albums in 1977 The Idiot and Lust For Life, produced by David Bowie, who also performed on and cowrote several of the songs. Iggy Pop enjoyed a resurgence in popularity when Lust for Life appeared on the soundtrack of Trainspotting.
