Grade

A grade system allows complex attributes such as performance, quality, size, rank, etc. to be classified into a finite number of groups, typically designated 1, 2, 3...; I, II, III... or A, B, C...:

• A grade in education can mean either a teacher's evaluation of a student's work, or a student's level of educational progress in school.
