Cromer

Cromer is a seaside town on the very northern coast of Norfolk, England, with a Victorian pier. A popular resort in the late 19th and early 20th century it boasted two railway stations, Cromer High and Cromer Beach, of which the latter still remains. Although remote from London, Cromer was a celebrated resort, incuding such vistors as the future King Edward VII. The town was, and is famous for the Cromer Crab, which formed a major source of income for the town's fishermen. Of course they themselves were more renowned for manning Cromer's two lifeboats. Most famous of the lifeboatmen was Henry Blogg who received the RNLI gold medal for heroism.
