Co-channel interference

Co-channel interference is interference from 2 different radio stations on the same frequency. On AM, both stations are on top of each other, with a heterodyne sound. On FM, the stronger signal is captured and demodulated, but while moving, multipath effects cause both stations to appear on the same frequency.
